Nazli is 18, born in Iran, raised in Sweden. She lives with her father Abbas and her older sister Mahin. Nazli, who wants to blend in calls herself Sara. One day Abbas tell her how he sees her future. He is planning a party for their friends and relatives. He also plans to invite two Iranian men, whom he sees as potential husbands for his daughters. Nazli, who has a very good relationship with his father, is appalled. When she meets with her Swedish boyfriend Johan, the situation immediately gets very complicated.
