Always passionate about hockey, young Jean-Philippe Tanguay dreams of only one thing: becoming a player agent. He idolizes his cousin Yves Tanguay, a former NHL player, now playing with the Barbares de La Malbaie amateur hockey team. When the team advances to the Canadian championship, Yves convinces his young cousin to accompany him to Thunder Bay to attend the championship.
