He dies looking at the invisible evil in the face, in the only he can do: painting it. He is 28 years old. Only a few months earlier, the main hall of the Secession building had welcomed his works: 19 oil paintings and 29 drawings. His first successful exhibition, a celebration of a new painting idea that portrays the restlessness and desires of mankind.A few months earlier, his teacher and friend Gustav Klimt had died. From the turn of the century, he had fundamentally changed the feeling of art and founded a new group: the Secession.

How does one live day-to-day in a place that appears to offer an unreal relationship to the world? How has Disney’s presence in the area affected the childhood and adolescence of these young people? Les enfants de Val d'Europe juxtaposes the landscapes of the Val d’Europe with the words of its inhabitants. Interviews with young adults who grew up around Val d'Europe and the Disneyland Paris amusement park serve as an augmented soundtrack for a voyage through often deserted landscapes.

The Soul of Motion

This observational documentary was realized by filmmakers at the State University of Paraná. It follows the Federal University of Paraná’s Téssera Dance Company in black-and-white images as the group’s members prepare the dance piece “Black Dog”, a work about confronting depression, in June of 2017. The film’s story, structured in chapters, presents archetypal characters overcoming individual crises for the sake of collective expression. “The pack must walk together”, says the company’s stern but compassionate leader, within the context of a pedagogical work about the importance of a show going on.
