You Again?

September 2025 •English

You Again? is an American situation comedy based on the British sitcom "Home To Roost" that was broadcast by NBC from February 27, 1986, to March 30, 1987, for two seasons. When Matthew Willows (John Stamos) was 10 years old, his parents got divorced, and Matthew chose to live with his mother. Now, seven years later, he's on his father's doorstep—and his dad, Henry Willows (Jack Klugman), is not thrilled. This kid is less than a model teenager: he drinks, he smokes, he curses, he lies. Not that Henry, a grouchy old bird, is any prize himself. But Matt moves in "temporarily." Henry makes him drop most of those bad habits, and Matt brings a little youthful exuberance into the Willows household, which includes Enid (Elizabeth Bennett), the part-time housekeeper.

Unlike HoC, however, Yacht Rock was never sued by its iconic characters' real life counterparts. In fact, it is said that at one time or another, just about every musician lovingly portrayed in the series has witnessed and enjoyed it behind closed doors. Yacht Rock enjoyed success on levels and in ways previously unattained by 101 shows, its title becoming a household phrase at radio stations, a bin at your local record store and a category on iTunes. But beneath its pop cultural triumph was an artistic one that often went undescribed: Yacht Rock's stories were always clever and sometimes downright genius in their assembly, weaving trivi...

The Grimleys

September 2025 •English

The Grimleys is a nostalgic comedy-drama television series set on a council estate in Dudley, West Midlands, England in the mid-1970s. It was first broadcast by Granada TV for ITV in 1999, following a pilot in 1997, and concluded in 2001 after three series. The show was written by Jed Mercurio, who had trained as a doctor and whose first series, Cardiac Arrest - written under the pseudonym 'John MacUre' - had attracted critical plaudits for its dark portrayal of life in a disintegrating British National Health Service. The filming of the school took place in Salford, Buile Hill High, Hope High and Pendleton College, although the filming of the characters' homes actually took place some 80 miles away in the Dudley area itself; around Parkes Hall Road on the Dudley-Sedgley border.
