Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, also known simply as Destinos, is an educational television program created by Bill VanPatten, who was, at the time, Professor of Spanish and Second Language Acquisition at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. The show, designed to introduce viewers to the basics of Spanish, had two seasons, beginning in 1992. Its 52 episodes are often used for educational purposes in schools and are still broadcast regularly on many PBS stations, as well as many local channels. Destinos was produced by WGBH Boston and funded by the Annenberg/CPB Project, with additional funding by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

Very quickly, the two police officers realize that things are not so simple. Unsuspecting of the political forces involved and trying to solve the case, Sophia and Kenan will be in mortal danger, as the perpetrators do everything to hide an explosive secret. However, the price of the truth is much higher than they imagine, with its revelation threatening to lead even to a Greek-Turkish conflict. In the end, Sophia and Kenan will be asked to decide what matters most: their task or their life.

A life-long party girl with a tendency towards short-lived relationships and an aversion to taking any short of responsibility, Mitsaki has to come to grips with the idea of growing up. Billy (Giorgos Pyrpassopoulos) is a reporter with a rather unsteady love-life. He is a homosexual, but tends to be turned-off by the quirks of his various partners and has yet to fully commit to a relationship.

It consists of 22 episodes, each around 10 minutes long, which follow an intriguing adventure in Madrid and its surroundings. Through everyday situations, basic concepts of the language are taught, such as ordering in a restaurant, buying tickets and booking a hotel. Each episode includes additional learning sections with vocabulary, grammar and practical activities to reinforce the acquired knowledge.
