The series was filmed at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and produced by Columbia TriStar Television. Pros vs. Joes is an American physical reality game show that airs on Spike TV. The show features male amateur contestants matching themselves against professional athletes in a series of athletic feats related to the expertise sport of the Pro they are facing. For its first three seasons, the show was hosted by Petros Papadakis. Since Season Four, it has been co-hosted by Michael Strahan and Jay Glazer. The first two seasons were filmed at Carson, California's Home Depot Center, which was referenced in aerial shots.

The Super Trio Series is a Hong Kong variety show produced by TVB. The series debuted in 1995, and remained in production for eighteen years due to its popularity. The show was hosted by Eric Tsang and his two assistants - Jerry Lamb and Chin Kar-lok. The show initially ended its run with the airing of the final episode on July 16, 2005. However, on March 9, 2008, the first episode of the show's spin-off series Super Trio Wonder Trip was aired; its main purpose was to introduce a series of new games that are to be imported from various game shows all over the world and would appear in series 8, Super Trio Supreme.

Desafío is a reality show in which a number of participants should survive, live together, and compete in 4 different stages, for a big price in money. These contestants are grouped into three teams according to the theme chosen in each season. Social classes, generations, regions of the country and the degree of popularity are the elements used to give identity to these groups. Another one of the characteristics of the Challenge and which encloses the success of this format is that the conditions of life in this competition are not fair. While a group spends its day in a beach house with servants, exquisite delicacies (High Beach), the other group suffers the complete lack of accommodation and food (Low Beach). In this reality, as in real life, the teams would be able to exceed or fall on their comfort levels, depending on the performance in the territorial Challenges.

50/50

50/50 was a British children's game show that was broadcast on BBC1. It was broadcast from 7 April 1997 to 12 July 2005. Two schools in the UK put forward 50 students, each child given a number from 1–50 which they wear during the show, before each round a random number generator picks which students will take part in the next game. The t-shirt colours were originally green and orange but this was changed to blue and yellow. They sit opposite each other in raised seating while the game takes place in between them. Most of the children will not get an opportunity to play in a game, but there are question rounds and observation rounds where points are won by the number of correct answers. The games usually consist of inflatable obstacle courses similar to those found in Get Your Own Back, Fun House and Run the Risk.
