Christmas on the Moontop is a Norwegian christmas series. It was produced and sent on NRK in 2002 with replays in 2005, 2010 and 2014. Idea and screenplay by Gudny Ingebjørg Hagen. Christmas on the Moontop was the successor to Christmas in Blåfjell and Amalies Christmas. Directed by Torunn Calmeyer Ringen.

The children celebrate Lucia Day, the annual ski relay takes place, there is a competition to find the most beautiful Christmas tree, huge quantities of gingerbread are baked, the children go caroling, they rescue a fox that has been hit by a car, and they build a snow castle and end up in a real fight with the Sletta gang.

Luka and the Magical Theater

In the early 20th century, Luka, a poor, crippled young boy from the wrong side of the tracks, stumbles upon a theatre at the end of a carnival, where he befriends a bunch of kids who work and live at the theatre, and he feels more at home there than he has anywhere else. However, at the same time, an evil, ruthless upper-class woman on the brink of bankruptcy plots to sell the theatre to gain some extra money, and if that happens, everyone at the theatre will be thrown out into the streets. Luka works together with his new friends to try to save it.

The Julekalender

The Julekalender is a Norwegian Christmas season television series produced by and starring Travellin' Strawberrys in collaboration with Saks Film and Entertainment and TV 2, 1994. Around 400,000 viewers followed the series in December 1994, and it has since been broadcast anew in 1996, 2003, 2008 and 2012. It was based on the Danish series The Julekalender from 1991, which also inspired a Finnish version in 1997. The original concept and script of the series, as well as its numerous songs came from the Danish trio of De Nattergale. The characters spoke Norwenglish, a pidgin of English and Norwegian. The series consisted of 24 episodes, and its production crew came from Trondheim, Norway.

Jul i Skomakergata is a Norwegian TV-show produced in 1979. It is a televised advent calendar, meaning it is broadcast from December 1 to December 24. It has been broadcast several times in Norway by NRK and is one of the most treasured programs in Norwegian television history. The story revolves around shoe repairer Jens Petrus Andersen, played by Henki Kolstad, and his shop. He is visited by friends and townspeople who need their shoes repaired before Christmas. A part of the show consists of showing a clip from Sandmännchen which tells children about the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child. In 2006, the Norwegian comedian Zahid Ali created an advent calendar show called Jul i Tøyengata, a parody of Jul i Skomakergata which shows a multicultural street in Oslo and deals with problems such as racism and cultural clashes.

It was a special holiday edition of the beloved children's show «Portveien 2», which originally ran in the 1980s. The story begins with Santa Claus falls through a hole in the ozone layer and lands on "høggeritomten". Santa's sleigh is broken, and Santa even has a little amnesia. And worst of all is that children can not get Christmas presents if he does not get the sled repaired so he can go back up in the air again. Already in the first episode, viewers got acquainted with Inga Toppen owning Blazer Mountain Panorama Apartments. This is a mountain located just above "høggeritomten". Many rich people bought shares in this property, and they get very upset when they discover that "høggeriet" spoils the view, poisons the air with heating of the tires and the "Vazelina guys" also disrupts mountain peace by playing loud music. We also meet Synnøve who owns the small farmhouse Glenna who rent out "høggeriet" to the "Vazelina guys". She works as a cleaning lady on Blazer Mountain, and when Inga hears about this she looses her job until she agrees to cancel the lease with "høggerne".
